After months passed, a long time family friend had recommended Andrea Shink at Compass Real Estate to us as she had extensive knowledge and expertise in the Estate/Trust area of property sales. This was such an incredible turning point for us as a family. We touched base on the phone, followed by a more formal zoom meeting and then met at the property to walk through it and discuss all of the family’s collective worries and concerns. After that there was no doubt Andrea was the perfect agent to assist us with the step by step process of the sale.
Andrea is skilled, thorough and knowledgeable in all aspects of real estate sales, but more than that she made the experience enjoyable and exciting for our family. She made a listing presentation for us early on to show us visually what we could see for a future listing. She has extensive knowledge of the Los Angeles area and what current buyers are looking for. She provided quick timelines, but moved at a pace that was realistic and made sense for the family. From the very beginning Andrea and her assistant Kayla were amazing. As a team they were quick and responsive to our text messages, and phone calls and were fast to set up zoom meetings for group calls with my family members along with meeting face to face at the house, we always were her top priority and we felt it. She was able to advise on details pertaining to our family trust and able to guide us in the right direction for outside of the box questions we had due to our specific Estate situation.
Andrea was always completely straight forward and it was refreshing to hear. She has incredible marketing knowledge which helped with our older home, she had upgrade suggestions which helped us achieve a selling price over our listing. She helped facilitate an Estate Sale through her contacts so we could keep our personal family items but help sell the abundance of furniture, electronics, kitchenware, appliances and more that were accumulated over time. She put us in touch with a title rep and helped us work directly with landscaping and general services for all of the painting, hauling, exterior and interior work that needed to be done to the home and made the process as smooth as we could ever hope for. Andrea explained all costs and potential costs along the way and provided constant updates on the progress.
When it came time for the actual sale, it was listed beautifully online with virtual staging that we couldn’t have imagined since the house had not changed much since our childhood. We were floored by what it could possibly look like for our buyer. Andrea held consistent Open House events and we were fortunate enough through her efforts to get 14 offers in roughly two weeks time. When it came to review the offers we were nervous about what the final outcome would be. Andrea reviewed each one with us with care and diligence and we gave her all our trust to advise us on the next steps and decisions presented. We were truly amazed with the way she carefully explained each offer and her negotiating skills to manage the top potential buyers. We were put at ease as we were in great hands and she had the best interest of the family at heart.
We sold for $261,000 over the asking price and were astounded and elated by the outcome to say the least. Andrea was true to her word from the time we first spoke all the way to the finish line and we couldn’t have been more ecstatic with our decision to hire her to handle our grandparents home with the best care possible. I highly recommend Andrea Shink to anyone in need of a real estate agent whether they are in a situation like ours or not. She was truly professional, honest, and detailed throughout the entire process.
